Getting the fit right
Let’s be honest—standard, off-the-shelf lamps almost never fit a professional commercial oven. They’re just too generic. We build these to your exact specs. Whether you need that instant, searing heat (shortwave) or something that sinks deeper into the food (medium-wave), we tweak the winding and the gas mix to make it happen. But a word of warning on the electrics. You have to match your voltage exactly. If you put a 220V tube into a 110V circuit, you’re going to get zero heat. On the flip side, if you over-volt it? Pop. The filament is gone instantly. We handle the end-caps for you, so they should slide right into your existing sockets without a fight.
The good and the bad
The best part? There’s no warm-up time. You get immediate radiant heat, which means you aren’t wasting energy—or time—during the dinner rush. Just keep a couple of things in mind. If you go with a much higher wattage than your original tube, double-check your wiring and terminal blocks. You don’t want to overload your internal wires. Also, please be careful.
